Last week, our Esthetician, Kirsten, attended the International Congress Of Esthetics And Spa trade show in Philadelphia. She sat in on seminars and educational classes to further her knowledge of skincare and see what new advances that have been made this year. While there, Kirsten also learned more about the Celluma LED light therapy and ProCell microchanneling services. It's always fun to attend these shows and try new products or services. Kirsten joins Balance Hair Spa offering facial, waxing, spray tanning , and cosmetic services Monday Through Thursday from 12 to 8pm and Saturdays from 8am to 3pm.

On Wednesday, September 21st our esthetician, Kirsten Gonzalez and Balance Hair Spa owner, Biff Piner attended the Dermalogica Pro Pen training at the International Dermal Institute.

We are excited to announce that our spa now offers massage on Thursdays & Saturdays with our new massage therapist, Sue Long. Sue works with local physicians in Chest County and now in our spa two days a week.

Sue is certified in physical therapy and massage therapy. Many years of experience and training have culminated into a deeply relaxing and healing treatment. A strong massage, fitting to your level of comfort.

Her areas of specialization include deep tissue massage, neuromuscular massage, oncology, myofascial release, pregnancy massage, and reflexology.

Wella Luxe Lights Color Class with Nicole Obert

On February 8th our team of beauty professionals were treated to a color class with national Wella educator and star of Sheer Genius, Nicole Obert. She taught our team about Wella’s new Luz Lights and ways to give our clients the best hair color possible. From warm brunette, cool brunette, honey blonde and rose blond, Obert covered all the latest trends in highlighting and ways to get the best look for our clients. We were able to have some of our team on site and the rest virtual to get this much appreciated color class.

On November 12th & 13th, Balance Hair Spa Owners, Thomas & Biff, attended the Aveda Un-Buttoned Tour. This two day motivational event was held outside of Washington D.C. Thomas & Biff were able to hear from some of the industries leaders both locally and internationally speak about their success and motivation. Fashion Focus is an industry trade show brought to us by CosmoProf. Our team took the time to sit in on class rooms and workshops this weekend, all designed to further their career and talent in the beauty industry. We were able to get some positive motivation by Geno Stampora, Formal styling techniques from Martin Parsons, and cutting techniques by Nick Arrojo. After the weekend we all returned to our work more energized and ready to share our experience and knowledge with our clients. We always enjoy this show and also enjoy seeing old friends we have met along the way.
