Balance Hair Spa is currently looking for a highly-skilled Nail Technician licensed to provide our clients with manicures and pedicures. This is a new, highly-anticipated service that we would like to offer to our clients since moving into our new Exton location in July 2010. This can be a full-time or part-time position.

Owner and creative director Thomas Crisp has assembled a highly trained and educated team of Color Experts and Spa Therapists dedicated to providing guests with premium color techniques, fresh hair designs and soothing spa services. responsibilities
- Take a “Spa Approach” to nails.
- Provides professional nail care treatments, polish applications and applies/repairs gel nails (no acrylics).
- Works with clients to enhance the appearance of healthy nails on both hands and feet, while performing massage on arms, hands, feet and lower legs.
- Maintains the nail work area at all times in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning and any instrument sterilization.
- Updates and maintains customer information records, such as services provided.
- Schedules client appointments and operates computer/register to receive payments from clients as needed.
- Assists Balance Hair Spa in activities including staff meetings, promotions, clean-up and housekeeping duties.
- Performs washing and folding of linens as needed.
- Presents a professional, fashionable, well-groomed appearance; clothing must be laundered and pressed.
- Arrives fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled work time and may be required to stay fifteen (15) minutes later beyond work schedule if still with client.
- Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner. Listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others. Keeping commitments. Keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues. Addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions. Addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier.
requirements
- Must have current valid nail technology license in Pennsylvania
- Must have experience in applying and repairing gel nails (no acrylics)
- Good work ethic, talented, motivated and friendly
- Team player and flexible
- A BIG PLUS if you are also licensed to perform massage or waxing!
compensation
This is a position with hourly pay for the first few months with the intent on being a commission job.
